Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation – Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) MOU

On Wednesday 27th November 2023 the Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF).  The aim of the MOU outlines the details of the financial support of PASYKAF by the Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation, as well as the collaboration between the two organisations for the improvement and advancement of the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF). 

The MOU also establishes a strategic framework for joint activities between the two organisations, promoting the areas of support and improvement of human health and the quality of life of people dealing with cancer. 

The Memorandum was signed at the offices of the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) in Limassol by Mr. Charalambos Pattihis on behalf of the Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation and by Mr. Nicolas Filippou on behalf of PASYKAF.

Mr. Nikolas Filippou, thanked Mr. Charalambos Pattihis for the contribution and for his support to PASYKAF and expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “PASYKAF enthusiastically welcomes this initiative, as the Memorandum of Understanding with the Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation offers new opportunities to strengthen the cooperation between the two organizations. We look forward to a constructive cooperation that will have positive effects in the fields of health and volunteering.”

Pointing out the importance of this cooperation, Mr. Pattihis said: “This Memorandum of Understanding is the beginning of a promising cooperation aimed at improving the quality of life of people dealing with cancer in our society.”

Following the meeting, the team of the Charalambos & Elena Pattihis Foundation was given an informative tour of the premises and facilities, where they were informed about the important work carried out by PASYKAF.

The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) was founded in 1986 by people with cancer experience and other dedicated friends and has grown into an organization with thousands of members and supporters, offering professional health and palliative care services to patients as well as cancer prevention programs.
